Park
The city of Mississauga has one of the largest and best outdoor
cement skatepark in Southern Ontaria. If you haven’t made
the trip out yet, what is your holdback. The total cost of this
project was kept Under 400K and it is amazing. On of the best courses
we have ever skated. This is a great example of a well laid out
plan between skaters, city officials, design company and construction
crew. This park does have a flow to it and can be a challenge to
find new and unique lines, but when out exploring new lines, be
cautious and watch the flow of traffic as it seems that this a single
direction skatepark, back and forth.
The park contains numerous rails and ledges of different sizes to
work you up to the 10 stair beast that few have hit. One of our
and almost everyone’s favorite obstacles is the “euro”
gap, bank to 3 stair step-up. The kidney shaped bowl is not for
the timid and is tricky to get the feel of the transitions and corners
but is great to pump around in and when the bowl session is raging
be sure to take a seat to witness some real talent pumping and utilizing
the corners. All in all, this is a great park for all abilities
and has seen sessions from day one and will continue for years to
come. It is also lit at night and sessions go into the wee hours
of the morn. To get there, take the 407 to Eglington and follow
the signs towards the Iceland Arena and drive around back.
See you there soon.
P.S. No Bikes allowed, BMX, Mountain or any with Training wheels
as well.
