| Plan B Demo in Brampton
The Plan B demo started out just as you’d think any demo would start out; the team was late due to being stuck in traffic, the threat of rain was constant, at least a hundred kids wore their favourite Plan B attire in hopes that the team would pay special attention to them for it, and the session before hand could be described as mayhem, chaos, a vortex, or a death wish. Just like any heated session a few attitudes and tempers were flaring but due to some fine individual’s best efforts, the realization was made by all that it indeed was demo day, so you’d be stupid to think that you own the park on such a day.
As the day wore on and the threat of rain in conjunction with the approaching nightfall increased, the team finally showed up and in fine form. Noticing that time was limited, the team got to work right away. Two of our Canadian boys, Scott Decenzo and Sean Hayes, flowed around the park with a finesse that only a Canadian has and dare I forget to mention that Sean does kickflips up 4 sets like it’s flat ground. Brian Wenning, the man that forgot that he’s regular footed, impressed the crowd with a switch back tail big spin shuv (sbtbss) as a first trick as well as some techy ledge lines that prove his video parts are indeed real. I almost don’t need to tell you about Paul Rodriguez; smooth, consistent, always smiling and throwing down is likely the best descriptors to make you understand the mighty rogering that P-Rod dished out to the skatepark in a very short period of time. Never in my life have I seen anyone step out of the van and immediately start dropping hammers like Paul did and within five minutes the hungry onlookers saw Paul making his way seamlessly through his stacked repertoire.
After about 20-30 minutes of skating the rain started to fall and the team was forced indoors to a local arena for an autograph session. As brief as it may have been, the team did what they came to do and gave the cell phone camera paparazzi something to go home with.
