Well over a month ago, South Parc skatepark celebrated the unveiling of the new mini-ramp/bowl with a little celebration called The Backyard Party. The ramp is quite epic to say the least at 70 feet wide which that nite included a real diving board, drainage in the bottom of the deep end and newly constructed bank wall. The crew at South Parc even went as far as bringing in real grass to lay down on the platform and mage the far end of the ramp look like someone's backyard. Due to unforeseen troubles with a glitchy tape, there wasn't too much footage from my camera. It was great to see that many talented riders competing in a mini-ramp session. Unfortunetly the 10 man 1/2 hour jam session was a little hard to bear, but free Red Bull vodkas, beer and burgers and hot dogs helped ease the pain of watching 6 heats. The best trick contest was amazing and definetly worth the wait.

Thanks to Barry Walsh and Kareem for the floor space to rest our heads, Todd Hohberger for driving and it was great to see some old friends and make some new ones.
